Yoga teacher training in the Hatha and Vinyasa stream, formerly known as BSYTT (Bhakti Shala Yoga Teacher Training), comprising over 320 hours of study and eighteen modules. Participants earn the Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher 200hr diploma and preparation to lead yoga classes. The course is addressed to people who dream of teaching yoga or of grounding their own practice.

  • Biomedical foundations of teaching – anatomy and biomechanics, joints, muscle contractions, N-ROM, biomechanics of breathing, the effect of yoga on body systems
  • Propaedeutics and methodology – sequencing, lesson planning, pacing, pose adaptation, working with props, class management
  • Humanistic yoga teaching – philosophy and history of yoga, Bhagavad Gita, Yoga Sutra, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, basics of Ayurveda, yama and niyama
  • Professional development – planning your career path, professional ethics, relationships with students, mentoring
  • Practical yoga teaching – leading classes in pairs, small groups and full classes, Surya Namaskar, physical assists, feedback
